Stockholm ACC (ESOS) provides an area control service in the northern part of Sweden FIR (ESAA), mainly north of Stockholm. Stockholm ACC has two main responsibilities, one being area service for en-route traffic in the northern Sweden FIR, the other being service for traffic climbing from and descending to Stockholm TMA.
On IVAO, Stockholm ACC is split into 5 sectors:
- Sector 2 (2) - Lower airspace south of Stockholm
- Sector 3 (3) - A section of airspace immediately west of Stockholm
- Sector 4 (4) - A section of airspace immediately east of Stockholm
- Sector N (N) - The middle part of Sweden FIR
- Sector K (K) - The very northern part of Sweden FIR
Details about each individual sector can be found via the menu to the left.
An overview map of all Nordic sectors is available here.
The Stockholm ACC can be combined in the following common configurations:
- Sector 2
- Sector 3 + 4
- Sector N + K
- Sector 2 + 3 + 4
- Sector N + K
- Sector 2 + 3 + 4 + N + K
When several sectors are combined, the frequency of the highlited (bold) sector shall be used as the main frequency.
It is also possible to combine the Malmö sectors with Stockholm sectors 2, 3 and 4 ("ESAA sector South"):
- 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + L
or to combine all Swedish ACC sectors ("ESAA"):
- K + N + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + L
When one of the ESAA combinations are used, only one single controller can provide area control in Sweden. If two or more controllers wish to provide area control in Sweden, the ESAA combinations may not be used - instead, a combination of ESMM and ESOS sectors shall be operated.
ESAA sectors operate on frequency 128.055
