Helsinki Sector G covers the south-western section of Finland FIR, operating on 132.725 MHz.

The main tasks of Sector G are:

  • Helsinki arrivals via LAKUT/MAROM
  • Helsinki departures via NEPEK
  • En-route traffic
  • Traffic to and from regional TMA's

In addition to en-route traffic, Sector B handles traffic to and from a number of TMA's, including Turku and Tampere (Pirkkala). With the exception of Helsinki TMA, all TMA's in Finland have an upper limit of FL95. Departures from regional aerodromes require individually coordinated clearances, which means that Sector G can get fairly busy when there is a lot of departing traffic in the sector.

Sector G will often be combined with sector B and sometimes with sectors B and L, but can also be operated on its own.
